The gay community is a very very small percentage of people and the majority of the population showed just as much respect towards them as anyone else until their lifestyles are shoved down our throats. Now, there isn’t anyone that doesn’t have gays making out on their shows or movies. I’ve been very disappointed with the many, many reruns of sitcoms.
Moreover, they are noticing the changes and are not happy. Steines had co-hosted the daily lifestyle show since 2012. Before that, he was co-host of Entertainment Tonight for a decade. Hallmark put Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison out of a job when they canceled their show, here's why...

I’m white and have been married to a man who has dark complexion for 54 years. I would hate to think we couldn’t be represented as a normal family. However the other troubling things and lack of values keeps me from watching Hallmark. I do not like the new way the movies are moving.

Steines’ lawsuit said that he passed along complaints from cast and crew to executives, including a photo showing an instance of harassment. When Steines left Home & Family in 2018, The Hallmark Channel released a statement about his departure, USA Today reported. Mark Steines was once the host of Hallmark’sHome & Familybefore Cameron Mathison took over in his place. Steines filed a lawsuit saying he left due to sexual harassment issues. Crown Media denied the allegations and the lawsuit was later dismissed in January 2020.
It is NOT normal and should not promoted as such. I have noticed many disappointing changes in Hallmark channel over the past several years. Movies like “The Christmas Choir,” “Fallen Angel,” which I considered to be the upper echelon of Hallmark Christmas movies haven’t been on in years. If you compare the plotlines of these films and the newer releases, they are not even in the same league. Other favorites, such as “A Season for Miracles,” “Silver Bells,” and the humorous “Hitched for the Holidays” have also dropped out of circulation as well. I have been a devote fan of Hallmark until recently – they no longer represent the demographics of this country, rather they are favoring the far left.
I don’t think anything was wrong with their programming before all the changes. I have nothing against the LGBTQ community, but they have other networks to watch. We as Christians only had this network, and you ruined it for us. By comparison, 2.43M viewers tuned into A Holiday Spectacular on Hallmark during that time. This was a major step down for Bure, whose last Hallmark movie — 2021’s The Christmas Contest, which also aired the Sunday after Thanksgiving — was watched by 2.95M people. That’s a decrease in viewers of 539% year over year.
Now, wholesome family movies are no more. They’ve added gay characters that kiss and people are dumping the network. While trying to include black actors in leading roles, Hallmark went completely overboard and filmed 14 Christmas movies this way. Leaning one way is wrong but when you completely slide the other way and start to leave people out by skin color alone, you lose your audience.
PLEASE DON’T MESS UP THE HALLMARK CHANNELS. Love them and have my tv on the channels all day everyday. Having the same series on now all the time is awful. Why not have movies everyday even reruns would be better. AND THE NARRATOR HAS TO GO. VERY DISTURBING.
