This hypocritical chastisement is a superficial attempt at EXclusion . I DO NOT support Hallmark’s appeal to wokeness and the LGTB, and neither do much of the rest of their base. There’s always an idiot at the head of a network that thinks that people will just like what they’re doing after awhile they just have to wait it out .
This is where it seems like Great American Family is making major headway, but the stats don’t back it up. Looking at Google search trends for the duration of the holiday movie season, Hallmark is consistently on top. Hallmark’s made headlines this holiday season too, primarily for the record–breaking ratings of Three Wise Men and a Baby.
Chuck Lorre Had To Fight CBS Over Potentially Firing One Of The Main Cast Members On The Big Bang Theory
The final episode aired on August 4, 2021, with hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison. Hallmark’s lead in the ratings is so significant that it would probably take Hallmark fumbling in a major way for any other network to catch up with them. And considering how ambitious Hallmark’s 2022 slate is, with films that vary in genre and plot and tone and cast more than ever, the future looks merrier and brighter for the network. And as for GAF, they’re going to have to try a lot harder — and probably wait a while longer — to become a holiday tradition like Hallmark.

So sad to say good-bye to Hallmark, but I guess it has been a casualty of times. I don’t watch many shows on the regular netwoks, but I do enjoy the Hallmark channels, for complete escapism from the craziness of our world. I think it’s great if Hallmark is trying to be more diverse and inclusive. I support that, but if most of my favorite Hallmark actors are leaving the network I will no longer be tuning in. By the time Home & Family’s final season aired, the show was mainly hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison.

I understand Paige Davis had her issues, but methinks they "fixed" the wrong problem. Mark Steines is one of the worst hosts I think I've ever seen. Between his false modesty, his cutting, underhanded remarks, and his fragile ego that Christina constantly works to salvage, I find myself sore from cringing. One morning, a crew member was climbing a hill near the set for exercise. She commented how she'd never have to wear Spanx again after this workout, and Steines says "this ISN'T Magic Mountain". Earlier that morning, Mark was showing how one could make a shelf out of an old book.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the General Hospital family! I am incredibly grateful to Frank Valentini and the writers at GH for including me in such an iconic show. I feel like a kid at Christmas, as I’ll also be continuing making Hallmark movies and be part of that family as well. After he was let go, Steines sued Crown Media for wrongful termination.

You are “allowed” yours without calling you names. Liberals preach equality but it just can never be, a man and a woman are the creators design, between these two can only Holly Matrimony occur, and one other. I dropped my subscription to Hallmark because they forgot about how this works. I have wanted to say this for sooo long but was afraid of where I would be with my freedom of speech.

I don’t think anything was wrong with their programming before all the changes. I have nothing against the LGBTQ community, but they have other networks to watch. We as Christians only had this network, and you ruined it for us. By comparison, 2.43M viewers tuned into A Holiday Spectacular on Hallmark during that time. This was a major step down for Bure, whose last Hallmark movie — 2021’s The Christmas Contest, which also aired the Sunday after Thanksgiving — was watched by 2.95M people. That’s a decrease in viewers of 539% year over year.

I noticed that in the new Aurora Teagarden Movie two of the main characters were missing, Arthur and Sally. Hopefully they are coming back as they do complete a cast that is really good together. John should be written back in also, these cast members made the series what it is.
The network's Twitter account announced Thursday night that the network has "parted ways" with the co-host of the daily morning talk show. Considering that no GAF movie charted when the network was known as GAC, this year is an improvement over 2021. However, Great American Family is far from overtaking or even tying Hallmark in the ratings. It’s also hard to think of what GAF could possibly do to boost their ratings. They already poached the competition’s biggest star and it didn’t make a sizable difference in Hallmark’s nor GAF’s ratings.
As marketers you have to strike the balance between consumer demand and your pocketbook. Please don’t ruin this last bastion of escape. I DVR’d it because I’ve been working a lot and have kids home for summer. I haven’t been able to watch regularly so, when I finally got a chance to watch the shows and catch up I find that it is done! I don’t watch much tv because most of it is terrible.

Moreover, they are noticing the changes and are not happy. Steines had co-hosted the daily lifestyle show since 2012. Before that, he was co-host of Entertainment Tonight for a decade. Hallmark put Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison out of a job when they canceled their show, here's why...
And been disappointed at all the sitcom reruns and lack of airing great more older and newer Hallmark movies. Now, I hear that the former Great American County that aired country music programming is now a family style channel and taking on movies and former H&F cast? Depending on content, I may have to go over to it more. Without factoring in the four films that didn’t chart, Great American Family is pulling in better ratings than the original holiday movies airing on some networks — networks like ION, UPtv, and BET. Like GAF, the majority of the holiday movies aired on those networks fail to make the daily ratings charts. Hallmark got caught up in trying not to be caught in the cancel culture.
For that reason, Home & Family fans had every reason to believe that once things settled down, the show would return and air the same way it did before the pandemic. After initially airing on The Family Channel during the mid-‘90s, Home & Family was then broadcast by Fox Family Channel before finally winding up on Hallmark Channel. Given that Home & Family was on the air for so long and it moved between three different channels, it was easy to think that the show would survive just about anything. These are just a few of the holiday movies that GAC Family has on its schedule. But while she’s working on these projects, she’s also considering returning to “The View.” In early July, reports began circulating that Matenopoulos might rejoin the daytime show.
Count me out, I’ll find a new source of entertainment, one that cares about retaining it’s viewers. I stopped watching Hallmark last year when they decided to go woke. I had started to notice no mention of God in their Christmas movie.
When watching movies on the Hallmark Mystery Channel, I find the narrating very annoying. It makes me change the channel to something else. Also, it’s disgusting to see scenes with homosexual men kissing.
